The United Kingdom's Trade & Investment Office has developed their own analysis of Mexico's potential for growing an aerospace cluster.  Some of the reasons this report cites for companies operating in Mexico:  intellectual property rights protections, Mexico's network of Free Trade Agreements (including with the European Union), lower labor costs, and availability of highly qualified labor.

In 2005, Mexico had over 60 companies in the aerospace industry, around half of which were located in the State of Baja California.  This makes Baja California a thriving hub for Mexico's growing aerospace industry.


 




According to this article in the July 2006 edition of Twin Plant magazine, Mexico's aerospace industry is expected to grow at a 15% annual growth rate.
